ChatFlamingo fits if …
- you want a free AI allowance every month, not once
- the live chat should stay free even when a lot of conversations come in
- where your contracting party sits matters to you
ChatFlamingo is a chat for your website: live chat, team and dashboard free for good, plus an AI that answers from your own documents. This page puts the two side by side — every figure about Tidio with a source and the date we checked it.

Our prices are net, as on the pricing page; VAT follows your country and is shown before payment at checkout. Tidio’s prices stand as the provider states them — no conversion. “Not found” means we found nothing about it on Tidio’s pages — not that the feature does not exist.
Tidio bills by billable conversations: one conversation is one unit, however many messages it holds. At ChatFlamingo every AI answer counts on its own, and the live chat does not count at all. If you get a lot of short enquiries, counting by conversation suits you better; if you run long advisory chats where the AI answers ten times, counting by answer suits you worse. Work through your own case instead of putting the numbers side by side — 100 and 50 look comparable and mean different things.
At Tidio the first 50 Lyro conversations are free once, and the paid tiers start after that.1 At ChatFlamingo the 100 AI answers come back every month, for good. For a small website with a few dozen questions a month, that is the difference between “never costs anything” and “costs from the second month”.
ChatFlamingo comes from CertoClav Sterilizer GmbH in Leonding, Austria; the DPA is published as text on this website and the databases sit in a data centre in the EU.5 At Tidio the contracting party is Tidio LLC in San Francisco, California, and there is also a Polish company.2 Tidio states that data is processed “mainly … within the EEA and the servers located there”, while noting that as a US entity data may be transferred to the United States.3 For users in the EU a DPA is part of the Terms.2
Old conversations cannot be carried over. If you need the history, export it at your old provider first.
That is Tidio's unit, not ours. How Tidio draws the line around a conversation is on their pricing page. With us every AI answer counts on its own, and whatever your team writes does not count at all.
Technically yes, sensibly no. Two chat windows on the same page confuse visitors, and both greet proactively. Better: test on one subpage, then switch.
No. There is no import. Export the history at your old provider if you want to keep it.
The AI stops answering, the live chat keeps running. Nobody is moved into a plan automatically, and there is no back-billing. Next month the 100 are back.
We do not judge that — everyone has to check it for their own use. Tidio's own statements are in their privacy policy and terms. What we found is in the table, with a source.
Tidio and Lyro are trademarks of Tidio LLC. We are not affiliated with the company. Prices and details change — what counts is always the provider’s own page.
Live chat, team and dashboard cost nothing. You decide about the AI later.
